Perform on the Tenth day of the Sharad Navratri; the Dashmi Tithi is commemorating as the day when the cluster of Shardiya Navratri comes to an end. It’s always been a mystery as to when the Parana must be observed, i.e. either on the Navami or on the Dashami. As per the Mimansas, the Navratri Parana must be performing on the Dashami. According to them, there are plenty of texts suggesting that the Dashami Tithi is great for Parana as the fast is observed on the Navami Tithi. If the Navami Tithi is happening on two days, the first day would be the one for the fast, and the next day is to be kept for the Navaratri Parana. Being the last day for Sharad Navratri Poojan, the Bhagwati Durga Visarjan must be done on this day after the Shodashopchar Pooja.
The rituals after the Pujan include offering food and gifts to the Brahmins and nine little girls. This is also known by the name of Kanya Poojan.
