What is Astrology?
As we’ve seen, the birth chart depicts the situations we might expect to face in this life. These repercussions, according to Vedic Astrology, are the result of earlier activities, actions from previous incarnations.
Our birth time and place are not random; they exactly define a birth chart for us, delivering the outcomes of our previous activities through the quality of Natural Law at the time of birth. These principles are imprinted in our physiology and the environment we are born in by the act of birth. Planetary locations are only useful indicators of those rules, precise instruments for measuring, computing, and interpreting them.
The interpretation of our birth chart is only a reflection of our evolutionary stage at the time of our birth; it has no bearing on our ability to grow and improve. Even though the study takes into account a lifetime’s worth of dashas and transits, it’s important to remember that everything is still related to the evolutionary state at the moment of birth. Past decisions have resulted in past acts. People can transform their lives by beginning to make different choices when they become aware of decisions they no longer want to make.
Remedial measures are things we can do to help correct or neutralize the undesired results of past actions.
There are different types of remedial measures.
Vedic astrology (Jyotisha) has three main branches:
- Jap-Poojan
- Yantra
- Gemstones etc
