Vaastu Purush

Mythological Story of Vastu Purusha
broadway purusha Long ago, Lord Shiva engaged in combat with the demon ANDHAKA, killing him. Shiva grew extremely exhausted from defeating the demon and started to perspire heavily. From Shiva's sweatdrops, a man was born. He had a vicious appearance. He was famished. He started doing penance in order to please Lord Shiva and obtain a blessing from him. Shiva appeared in front of him after approving of his penance."Oh Lord!" the devotee begged to Shiva. Please allow me to devour all three universes. Shiva commanded, "Let it be." The devotee was ecstatic beyond measure. He took control of all three planets, and he was initially prepared to devour Bhooloka, the earthly realm.Then, out of fear, the celestial (Devatas), Brahma, Shiva, and the demons (Rakshasas) all frightened themselves and surrounded the devotee.
When Vaastu Purusha was detained in this manner, he addressed the Gods, saying, "Oh, Celestial Beings! All of you have grabbed hold of me and have me bound on all sides. How much longer will I remain in this position, with my head hung down like a prisoner? How should I eat? The celestial beings listened to what was said and then said, "Today is Bhadrapada Shukla Triteya Saturday and "Visakha Star"; Therefore, you lie down here on the ground and switch positions once every three months, i.e. from "Bhadraspada" to "kartik," with your head facing east and your feet facing west.
You lay down facing the south during the months of "Margashira," "Pusham," and "Magha," looking towards the west, and you put your feet toward the north; during the months of "Phalgun," "Chaitra," and "Vaisakh," you put your head toward the west and your feet toward the east, looking toward the north; and during the months of "Jyestha," "Ashadha," and "Sravana," you put your head toward the east. North, with the feet moving south and the east in view. You can only lie on your left side, no matter which way you turn. You'll be referred to as "VAASTU PURUSHA." You can make as much fun of the people as you want by making fun of them for building structures and temples, digging wells and erecting tanks on the side that you can see.
