Navagraha(Nine Planets) in Jyotish

The planets, according to Vedic Astrology, serve as relay stations for receiving and transmitting celestial energies. The seven major or visible planets are generally stated in Vedic Astrology in the sequence in which they control the days: Sun, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Order of Navagraha (Nine Planets)

The Sun and the Moon, as the two luminaries, are the most important of the planets. As the major planets beyond the orbit of the earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are the next most important. Then there's Venus and Mercury, which are large planets that orbit Earth and are thus always close to the Sun.

The Lunar nodes to the north and south, known as Rahu and Ketu and regarded as shadowy or minor planets, are of far lesser importance. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are the distant planets that come after them in importance.
